When eating roasted pumpkin seeds, does one eat the whole seed or shell it like a sunflower seed?

I've always popped the whole thing in my mouth and chewed away and didn't even know there was different until I gave Lance a seed and he opened it with his teeth and gave me the shell.

What method do you prefer?

We went to a pumpkin patch after work and picked up three pumpkins for our family. We scooped out all the guts and started carving. Three hours later we were both done. I have to have pumpkin seeds every fall, but next year you better believe I'm going back to the traditional 15 minute pumpkin face.

I did Frankenstien, Lance did a skull/the terminator and Orion did a puppy paw(ok he really only contributed a few teeth marks in it and we did the puppy paw)

I call Orion punkin or punkin pie all the time. It was only fitting to take a picture of my punkin with his pumpkin.

Community

Lance and I love to lay in bed and watch tv shows on the computer.

It first started out with us watching the premier of Survivor and at the end we kept the tv on when the season finale episode of Big Brother came on and we got interested. And no mom, it's not a raunchy show. At least this season wasn't.

It was like 30 episodes long! We'd watch one or two every night, sometimes even 3 or 4 if we had a free day. We were so bummed when it was over.

What show would we watch now?

Bryan suggested Community. We know he likes The Office so he has some credibility. He gave us the first season on DVD and oh man. It is good.

The cast is perfect. Everyone is hilarious. And I suggest it to anyone.

So go out and find Community and watch it and be in love.

It's that good.

My first blog rant.

I take the same route to and from work everyday.

I understand that Christians are supposed to help those in need.

BUT
When I see the same two homeless guys at their same street corner, at their same time, holding their same sign, I can't feel compasion for them anymore.

They are working. Not helpless.

It disgusts me that they take advantage of kind people.

If the one guy that stands outside by the KFC at lunchtime happens make eye contact with you and you shake your head that you wont give out money, he'll point to KFC like he expects you to go through the drive through and give him food. He has a pudgy belly for crying outloud! He's not helpless! I see KFC street corner worker riding a bike at the end of the day and I know he's going home to a house

I hate when beggers bring dogs into the game too. It might fool some people but it doesn't get me.

I pay fast offering and that's enough to take the guilt away when I roll my eyes at beggers.

Also, please don't stand at a corner and beg ESPECIALLY when there is a hiring sign outside of McDonalds at that corner. It's McDOnalds, they hire anyone.

Fall is in the Air

Thursday was Lance's 25th birthday. One of the things we've talked about doing when the weather gets a little cooler is to go camping. For his birthday he got a tent. Friday I asked Lance if he wanted to go camping and as usual, he didn't feel like driving any where (he REALLY hates road trips). So we set camp up in our living room! It was a lot of fun. We got an air mattress for our wedding from his work and blew that up and put it in there. We watched a few episodes of "Are You Afraid of the Dark" and were asleep by 10:30. Poor O wanted to be in the tent so bad but Lance didn't want any hair in his tent. O ended up sleeping on a blanket right outside of the tent by our heads. We were worried it was going to get hot in the tent during the night so we turned the air down a little but I woke up FREEZING! By 5 in the morning we were back in our big comfy bed.

Lance wanted to do it again the next night but luckily it didn't happen.

I love this cooler weather! We slept with the window open and snuggled to keep warm.

I may just start liking this cold weather now :)

My civic duty.

Every one hates it but me.

Every one compains and gnashes their teeth but not I.

I was looking forward to this day. I got a jury summons in the mail. I'm so excited. I hope I answer all the questions right. I wanna see a trial SO bad!

It's an extra day off from work. Maybe two or three even. I can only hope.
