we are the new proud owners of a....

two bedroom duplex!

well, not owners but renters.

we're moving up in the world.

i'm so excited to have a craft room office.

the current place we're in fits our needs but the ceiling had a leak back in march.

we emailed pictures and told the landlord(who lives in ft. lauderdale) how bad it is.

well the leak stopped and so he stopped caring.

wednesday night it started up again

i email and again he takes it lightly and says a roofer will call me sometime.

i told him the roof is stained, bubbling and starting to sag.

he basically says oh well because it's not his bed thats getting dripped on.

hubs wanted to extend the lease 6 more months, i wanted an extra room

luckily the leak beginning again and was enough to convince him that we needed out.

so with a month till our lease was up we needed to find a place.

craigslist was searched.

a cute duplex and found.

an email was sent.

and that night we checked it out.

we adored.

we drove around the block talking about it.

we turned around and signed the lease.

everything about it is perfect and has everything we were looking for:

• two bedroom/two bath
• the location- still in first ward
• two bedrooms on the same story(surprisingly hard to find)
• a fenced backyard for pup
• allows pup
• available first thing july

a few extra bonus's:

• a walk in closet
• his and her sinks
• a pantry in the kitchen (no more cupboard use for food instead of dishes
• a large backyard
• fireplace(a bonus to lance, who uses a fireplace in florida?)
• a local landlord

did i mention a walk in closet?

I can not wait to get in and decorate this place and stay for more than a year.

Hello cute little yellow love shack.

Lance hates to get his hands dirty or sticky.

When he eats a burger or pizza, he does so with a knife and fork.

Leaving me to look like the mannerless pig in a restaurant.

Last night I asked Lance to rub some lotion on my pre-peeling itchy back.

He squirts the lotion on and says one second.

He leaves the room.

and come back with a spatula.

He then proceeds to rub in the lotion with the spatula.

So innovative.

Just around the river bend...

Lance and I took the canoe out to the Wakulla River on Tuesday.

It was amazing.

We basically mozied on down the river waving to all the old people out there fishing.

I want that to be my life in 40 or 50 years.

Lance couldn't resist a good opportunity to mess with the gators.
