2012!? really?!

first things first, is it two thousand twelve or twenty twelve to you? twenty twelve sounds weird to me. either way, how in the world is it 2012?! i swear it was just 2006. i think it's safe to say this past year was my best yet. we went to brazil, moved into a bigger house, celebrated our first wedding anniversary, and i became an aunt!

some things i look forward to in 2012:

1) going out west for a week with lance and his parents to play in the snow and see my brother

and his family.

2) timeout for women! i love timeout for women weekend! it's such a great get away with the girls in my life who mean the most to me and to renew my outlook on life.

3) working on my sewing skills. i will conquer pockets and zippers this year. get ready for a tutorial on my latest creation!

4) fitting back into my pre-wedding jeans. so cliche but my new years resolution is to loose weight. it's been so sad to see my belt losing notches.

5) gaining a sister! shout out maggie!

i'm so excited to start the new year tonight! not so ready for 9:00 church tomorrow.

little lance and his feet moves

if you've spent a good amount of time with lance, you know he moves his feet around. a lot.
he adds in little kicks here and there. especially in sports.

as long as i've known him, they've been called feet moves.

this weekend the anderson family pulled out some home videos and found this little gem. it's a recording of a vhs tape so it's not a good quality shot. but gosh i hope our kids are this cute!!

23 and still kickin

this year i turned 23.

still just a baby!

it was pretty much a normal day.

i had to work until 1:30ish

but it was still a good day.

because:

lance and i cant keep surprises very well, he had already given my birthday present the week before so he got me something little for the actual day that was waiting on my dresser in the morning

i got these beauties from my parents.

lance and i had dinner at your pie which is a new place next to the ocala publix. it's a pretty neat little place. it's basically a subway but for pizza. you choose what you want on your pizza and they cook it! this is actually lance's pizza. i didn't even think to take a picture of mine. he had mozzarella slices instead of grated cheese so thats why it looks all patchy. we completely had the place to our selves. gotta love a college town when school is out.

they had gelato and sherbet! we tried the butterfinger gelato and it was really good!

no birthday is complete without publix birthday cake!

christmas

the hubs and i love christmas.

we love christmas music.

christmas decorations.

christmas traditions.

we just think it's the best time of the year.

so here's a look at how we celebrated.

we went to our first ugly sweater party

it was a blast. we chatted, ate and played games.

we had a great time.

santa came a few weeks early for us.

we got a desktop computer, monitor, desk, chair and printer.

we now officially have a study room.

and the world's tightest printer. it can:

1. print a picture straight from our phone onto 4x6 photo paper.

2. print coloring pages, lined graph paper, print coupons from it's own app.

3. works offline (no hooking up cords just to print something real quick)

number one is probably only the cool thing about it though.

this year for lance's grandparents present i had no idea what we'd do. i wondered around hobby lobby for a good while until i thought about a craft i have been wanting to try and now was a good excuse. glass etching. easy peasy!

papa larry got a cookie jar.

and a christmas block for grandma linda hall.

deck the halls... get it? a pun on her last name. ha. i dont think she got it.

here is my favorite christmas present!!

my mom and dad both worked on this rag quilt for lance and me.

it has pictures of us (and orion) on it and the color and pattern is just perfect.

i love it!!

1. it's a party on my nails!

2. the yummiest thing about this time of year.

3. my office's gingerbread house. santa's reindeer barn.

4. the winning gingerbread house resort. but for real, it was impressive.

5. we have a door decorating contest at work every year. i was determined to win this year.

6. orion just chillin. i've also never felt like my feet were so ginormous before i saw this picture.

7. my birthday present from lance! (we can never hold out until the actual day to give presents)

8. the infinity symbol and our wedding date. 08-06-2010. love it.

orion's couch

as soon as we brought the new couch home, orion was all about it. he has claimed the armrests as his. i don't blame him. they are quite luxurious.

and yes, we keep a blanket on the couch all the time. we are such dog people so keeping orion off the couch isn't even an option but orion has that dog instinct to scratch whatever before he lays down. he will not scratch my new couch. so, if you drop by unexpectedly be prepared to find the couch covered in blankets.
