Birthday Weekend

I have been begging Lance to take a trip out of town. Lance hates the driving part of going out of town so I had to come up with a good reason for us to go out of town. My birthday! I told him he wouldn't have to get me anything if we could go out of town for the weekend. I think he loved the idea.

We left for Orlando at about 7 and got to the hotel around 11:30. We slept in, which felt amazing but I woke up with a stuffy nose and sore throat, which didn't feel amazing. We had breakfast at the hotel and got ready to do a session at the temple.

That morning it had been drizzling and was miserable. When we walked out of the temple, the weather was almost perfect, the rain had gone and there was a nice chill to the air. We asked a little kid to take our picture. Maybe we should have asked an adult so we could have a little more temple in the picture and a lot less stairs. Oh well, you get what you pay for.

After we left the temple, we went to little Brazil and had some amazing food. Lance loved speaking Portuguese to everyone.

When we were finished with lunch we headed over to Wonderworks, or the upside down house. We really did enjoy ourselves there. It was pretty fun, but I don't know if it was worth the price. When we walked out of the building it was already dark outside and started drizzling again.

One thing I made known to Lance was that by the end of the trip I would get a slice of cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. I ended up with 2!

And with that, we were on our way back to town.

Right when we got back to our house around 11:30ish I went right to bed. We didn't wake up until 12 the next morning. I was kinda sad that we had slept through church cause I always love the Sunday before Christmas. Plus I had bought a way cute skirt to wear to church. We woke up long enough to cook up some eggs and toast and chat with Sara Ranon who was staying at our house over the weekend. By 1 we were back in bed and slept til 4.

I sure needed the extra sleep but I feel like this is going to be a long, tiring, sick week. At least there are only 4 work days this week.
