harlem globetrotters

a while ago lance asked if i'd be interested in seeing the harlem globetrotters when they came to town.

my answer was real quick. nope. i'm not into basketball and thought i'd be bored with something i would have paid money for.

but then lance said he was able to get box tickets from the bank. and all the sudden it sounded more fun to me! luckily alyse was itching to spend time with liam so we had a sitter covered (like we'd ever have a problem in that area!).

monday night came and we made our way to the civic center. we got to the box about 10 minutes before the show started and watched some kids have a dance off on the floor. these kids were breaking it down.

finally the teams come out and the opponents get like a 10 second intro and the globe trotters have like 15 minutes.

i was so surprised to see a girl on the team! and a little guy (actually named too tall) that was only 5'2!

they made jokes, did tricks and beat the other team!

it was actually a really fun time. it was something that lance and i normally wouldn't do but we really enjoyed ourselves. the box seats were fun but nothing fancy. there wasn't any food or drinks and i'm sure the leather seats weren't any more comfortable but hey, they were free tickets! i caught myself wishing that liam was older so he could have enjoyed the night with us.

this is what i came home to. such a sweet boy. love that he sleeps with his bum in the air.
